World Down Syndrome Day 2023

Today, Reggio joins with others around the globe to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day!
Celebrating every year on March 21st creates a single global voice advocating for the rights, inclusion and well-being of people with Down syndrome. The 21st day of March was chosen to signify the uniqueness of the triplication of the 21st chromosome, which causes Down syndrome.
As part of this celebration, staff and students were invited to wear color full socks because chromosomes are shaped like them!
