Alex, a fourth grade student, wanted to do something special for Veterans Day.
He knew that there are lots of Veterans who come home after their service and are hurt or homeless. He and his family researched charities and found Fisher House, a nonprofit organization that builds houses for veterans.
Alex developed a fundraiser to raise money to donate to Fisher House. During lunch waves, he and his fourth grade peers sold patriotic items such as stickers, pencils, necklaces, and temporary tattoos.
By the end of the week, Alex and the Reggio community raised $264.92 for Fisher House!
